| TILE SUPPORT SYSTEMS Tile support systems are a relatively recent innovation that replaces rafters and insulation to provide an air-tight, insulated base into which either slates or tiles can be fixed. Particularly suitable for application to large, steel-framed structures, a tile support system provides a considerable cost saving in comparison with the timber rafters and insulation it replaces. A further attractive benefit is that a tile support system can be applied at an early stage of construction to provide a waterproof covering. Our experience of tile support systems is extensive. Over the past 15-years, we have fixed Tactray 90 and Kingspan TS1000 systems to schools, hospitals, office developments and shopping malls throughout the North East.
